1:30PM Logan Booker | Gamespot reports that Red Mile Entertainment has handed the monochrome goose to another developer. The publisher wasn’t willing to say which studio had taken up the reins, just that the Melbourne-based Transmission Games (formerly IR Gurus) was no longer at the helm. From the GS story:
Responding to requests for comment, a Red Mile representative said that Sin City has been passed off to an as-yet-unannounced development house, a change that occurred “quite a long time ago”. Commenting on the switch, the Red Mile representative said, “Transmission is focusing on Heroes Over Europe, which is quite an important title for us”.
First Pandemic (maybe) and now Transmission? The only upside to this tale is it finally gave me an excuse to use a picture of Jessica Alba in a post. Small comfort, mind you.

Sin City Game Promises To Be True To Graphic Novel
2:20AM Tori Floyd | Young game maker Red Mile Entertainment could have based the upcoming Sin City game on the star-packed movies. Instead, they opted to remain true to Frank Miller’s original seven Sin City graphic novels, securing the rights to the books instead of the films. It probably helps that the rights to the graphic novels were cheaper, too. Glenn Wong, the now-former COO of Red Mile, says that the choice to use the books instead of the movies was to avoid the already filtered experience of the movies and instead return to the source material. Sin City Game Just Might Not Suck
3:00PM Brian Ashcraft | Frank Miller’s Sin City graphic novels? Excellent. Sin City movie? Great. Sin City game? We’ll see. Jackass: The Game publisher Red Mile Entertainment is creating the tentatively titled Sin City: The Game and announced that it has brought in 20 year game vet Flint Dille, who won “Story of the Year” for The Chronicles of Riddick: Escape to Butcher Bay and Dead to Rights, to shape up the game’s story and overall production. Dille and Frank Miller actually go way back. Heck, the storyteller in 300 is even named “Dillos” after the scribe. Says Dille: Frank and I met during what I call our ‘professional adolescence’ when he was doing the Dark Knight and I was doing the Transformers cartoon series, and we’ve been great friends ever since… Frank and I have been having a party coming up with nasty stuff for the game. In true Sin City fashion, some old characters will return, new characters will appear and — without giving anything away — probably die horribly. It’s great to be working with the Red Mile team on this project: They clearly share Frank’s and my commitment to bringing a new and true Sin City to interactive life. You know, this could actually work. Let’s hope it actually does. Dille for Sin City Game [Money via Joystick] More »
Mike Fegan On Red Mile Acquisition, Rebate
9:23AM Logan Booker | PALGN has a tight interview up with Mike Fegan, CEO of IR Gurus. The developer was recently acquired by US publisher Red Mile Entertainment. Along with his thoughts on this recent event, Fegan talks about the Oz government’s dismissal of the 40% rebate for game developers (a topic also broached by GDAA president Tom Crago when he spoke with Sumea a few days ago).
I am 110% in support of the GDAA on this matter as I know from spending literally years of my life knocking on the doors of overseas game publishers that at the end of the day ALL international publisher’s are ‘risk adverse’ and if you can in anyway help them to alleviate their perceived risk in a project they will look upon your deal proposal favourably.
