It finally seems like the 3DS has gotten its legs underneath it, even as the Wii’s glory days fade further into the rear view. But there’s an unspecified while yet until the Wii U hits retail shelves and Nintendo’s still got a bunch of software coming on the home console and handheld fronts. The company’s released a partial list of games that will be out in early 2012 and highlights include Kid Icarus: Uprising, Resident Evil Revelations and Rhythm Heaven Fever. They’re also announcing that the Circle Pad Pro will be available in the United States on February 7 for $US20.

It might not be the November 7th promised by Luke’s pre-order, but the official release date for the Xbox 360 version of Rock Band 2 in Europe is definitely falling on this side of Christmas. As if summoned by Plunkett’s scorn, MTV, Harmonix, and EA have announced the official release date for the sequel to the all-too-recently released rhythm game. November 14th is the date that Europeans and United Kingdominians will be able to get their hands on the disc-only version of the game, priced at €69.99 and £49.99 respectively, with the instruments going on sale by themselves sometime in December.
