The British rock band Rocksmith aren’t the only ones suing Ubisoft over the French publisher’s guitar game Rocksmith. Now, the folks who make the instructional guitar game Guitar Apprentice have filed claimed patent infringement against Ubisoft over tech similarities to their own game.
Ubisoft’s real-guitar game Rocksmith has gotten a pretty mixed critical reception. Some writers enjoy the game’s take on the music game, while others (including me) have been critical.
Turns out there’s a rock band in the UK that goes by the name, wait for it, “Rocksmith”. Apparently Ubisoft forgot to check on that or clear it up ahead of time.
Can Ubisoft’s upcoming game Rocksmith teach a baby how to play guitar? Of course not, but through the magic of computer-aided video manipulation, it can use a real baby to creep us the f–k out.
