We suppose that if you've resisted the urge to buy into Grand Theft Auto IV this long, opting to wait for the superior Windows version, you may have waited on a copy of Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, as well. Valve and Rockstar Games must think so too, as they're offering a deal to pre-purchasers of GTA IV via Steam, tossing in a gratis copy of Vice City if you throw down the cash now. Not the world's most earth-shattering deal, but ten bucks is ten bucks, and you get something new now to while away the time until GTA IV unlocks on December 2nd.

Ah, the Pig Pen, East Los Santos. I've blown many wads of cash there in my time, and left it about as fulfilled as I have any other strip club in real life. Speaking of unfulfillment and real life strip clubs, the PlayPen of East Los Angeles -- notice any similiarities? -- lost a federal appeal in a lawsuit against Rockstar Games, alleging the game infringed on its trademarks.

PlayStation 3 owners will be able to brag of their Grand Theft Auto IV achievements... err, accomplishments officially starting Monday, as Rockstar Games is making PlayStation Trophies support official at the start of next week. Expect 51 new Trophies to arrive on the PS3, presumably matching the already available Xbox 360 Achievements — the first four should be familiar to the Xbox crowd — plus one for that bonus platinum level trophy that illustrates your dedication.

Midnight Club, now in its fourth major release, lands on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, giving us Rockstar San Diego's first foray into flashy, illegal street racing on current-generation consoles. The series heads to the west coast with Midnight Club Los Angeles, bringing with it a new, realistic representation of southern California's smoggiest city, which happens to also be Midnight Club's biggest location to date. With a more open-world environment, "next-gen" graphics and extensive online integration, has Rockstar given us a reason to renew our membership to the Midnight Club?
That's according to Rockstar Games founder Dan Houser who tells Edge that Nintendo "didn't want us to make a GTA for kids, and we weren't interested in making a game we wouldn't normally make." Houser describes Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars for the Nintendo DS as "almost like a GTA version of a classic arcade game." Go on...
With Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars coming to the Nintendo DS exclusively, does that pave the way for a Wii release? After all, the Wii is the best selling console in North America right now and Take-Two and Rockstar Games don't shy away from bringing mature content — Manhunt 2 and Bully, for example — to the little white wonder. And Grand Theft Auto IV is making Take-Two big bucks. Sounds like a profitable relationship on par with the perfection of chocolate and peanut butter.
