The Verge is reporting today that Microsoft will be adding new functionality to the Xbox 360 that tracks users’ physical activity across multiple Kinect games. The report also says that there will be a sensor accessory — codenamed Joule — that will track your heart rate while playing. Stats on your activity, measured against various fitness goals, will live in the cloud.

According to Russian reports, STALKER creator and GSC boss Sergei Grigorovich has issued a statement revealing that the reason his team couldn’t get the rights to the STALKER series in order to make a sequel — as only briefly alluded to earlier today — was because those rights have been sold to Bethesda.

That nine syllables is a mouthful of marbles and would make a GameStop sales associate breathe into a paper bag after answering the phone, “Thank you for calling GameStop where you can trade in your used Xbox 360 or PS3 games and preorder PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale my name is Chad how may I help you sir or ma’am.”
