Scoring and Saved Games: How They Change The Ways We Play

12:40AM Kotaku US Edition | Two of my good friends and colleagues have put up thoughtful pieces on their respective blogs about how we play videogames. On Level Up, N’Gai posted a column about how our saved game files are actually worth more than a $US 60 game. N’Gai calculates that his Mass Effect saved game is worth $US 122.10. His point: We should back up our saved games more often. Guitar Hero Site Up, High Scores Top 27 Mill

9:00AM Brian Crecente | Wow, the Guitar Hero site went live earlier today and already it’s packed with the sort of scores I’ll never be able to achieve. The top Xbox 360 Rocker tops the charts at more than 27 million as of this writing. The site also shows the top song of the week, automatically tracking which game songs get played the most, as well as Online Tournaments, Local Events and of course tons of forums.
