You might want to sit down for this. Turns out Rose is the last character for Street Fighter IV. Yeah, I know, we had no idea either.

Empire Interactive Causing A Martian Panic - New Screens

Posted by Stuart Houghton at 7:20 AM on December 5, 2008

What do you get if you cross Destroy All Humans with Duck Hunt?

Look, never mind "I don't know" - I'm not trying to tell you a joke. This is a serious rhetorical question. The answer is that you get Martian Panic. Look at the pictures, it's obvious.

Martian Panic is a Wii shooter for up to four players. Martians are invading. There is Panic. It's simple. Shoot the green swine in the face with your WiiMote or optional gun-shaped WiiMote cosy. No friends? No problem! Just grab a second WiiMote and get all John Woo on their scaly martian asses in Dual Wield mode.

Deep, Crisp And Even - Stoked Screens

Posted by Stuart Houghton at 10:40 AM on December 4, 2008

These screens from Bongfish Interactive's open-world snowboarding game Stoked do their best to show off the terrain and character models, but obviously can't really do justice to the game's main USP - the dynamic weather system.

Nice shots, though. As ever, pinches of salt should be kept within easy reach but if those are really in-game then this could be one to watch.

Draw A Path To Love In The Chase - Screens

Posted by Stuart Houghton at 7:20 AM on December 3, 2008

The Chase is a good old fashioned love story. Boy meets girl, girl separates from boy, boy and girl attempt to reach each other by running at breakneck speed across surreal platform-filled landscape populated by bad guys and collectable power ups while an unseen hand draws bridges under the feet of both boy and girl.

Aww, its like something out of a Barbara Cartland novel.

The Chase from Razorback is due for release on the DS in February 2009. Some time around the 14th, I would imagine.

Iron Chef's a Screamer

Posted by Brian Crecente at 3:00 AM on November 18, 2008

I was fairly impressed with this Cooking Mama knock-off. It has the controls down, the ingredient list is substantial. Essentially it's Cooking Mama with lots of yelling, but for $US20 $US30 there's nothing wrong with that. More games need to yell at you I think.

Burn Zombie Burn - You Know, For Kids

Posted by Stuart Houghton at 7:20 AM on November 8, 2008

Zombies are great - that's pretty much a given - but they can be a bit of a downer too, can't they? All that shuffling around and moaning, reminding us of our encroaching mortality and the unavoidable personal apocalypse that awaits us all. etc. etc.

Ghostbusters The Press Release, The New Screens

Posted by Brian Crecente at 5:00 AM on November 8, 2008

We broke the news that Atari was picking up the Ghostbusters game way back in September and we've since heard both confirmation and a release window from Atari. But now they've sent along this handy-dandy official press release on the whole matter pointing out what we already know and reassuring us that Terminal Reality is still developing the game.
