Official World of Warcraft Guild Crest T-Shirts
Posted by Seamus Byrne at 4:31 PM on October 23, 2008
Just received word from Blizzard reps about this great new service for those who *know* their guild means more to them than any real world sports team ever could. Swagdog is now creating custom WoW apparel, converting your guild crest into a T-shirt or hoodie. It tricks it out with your guild name, character name, realm, and battlegroup. Plus icons for class, race, and faction. This is some very geeky gear... and I just wish they'd do a baseball cap with embroidered guild crest. That'd be my apparel of choice on this one.

Thought we should give a shout out to an Aussie designer putting out some T-shirts with a good gamer and geek bent. James Lillis dropped us a note showing off some of his wares, and I figure they cut enough mustard to share. Along with the three designs above, there's plenty more clever references to the likes of The Smurfs, Space Invaders, and even Ronald McDonald subbing in for The Joker. All found on RedBubble, which is a local site for designers to sell their prints and T-shirts. So it's an all local affair, which means faster deliveries and less shipping costs than an overseas alternative.
Reader James Lillis recently sent in this Mario-themed T-shirt design. He didn't mention where one might acquire it (or indeed, if it's on sale at all), so we'll just have to please ourselves with a simple look-see.
Everyone who visited Capcom's booth at E3 last week were treated to a peek at a glorious retro Mega Man t-shirt. The shirt reflects the decision Capcom made to turn Mega Man 9 into an "impossible hard" 8-bit revival of the franchise.
Yup. They're not just classy. They're classy classy. They're part of an upcoming Street Fighter II line by Triumvir, which will be out later in the year. These shirts, however, (also available in black, with matching caps) will be available this week at Comic Con. If you've always harboured a desire to be part of Bison's shady gang but lacked the physical chops, these are the safe, legal option for those feeling the need to nevertheless "represent".
Would it be a Friday without somebody posting a picture of a T-shirt? Of course it would. Not even Pac-Man himself has the power to warp time and space, but he might just have the power...to move you. Kotakuite Annissa spotted this Pac-Man-inspired t-shirt in a rather peculiar place.
Metal Gear Solid 4 the game wasn't the only MGS thingy that went on sale today. Japanese clothing chain Uniqlo also put its MGS shirts up for sale. Writes reader Christian:
On the left, The King of Games' new Kid Icarus t-shirt. On the right, new kid sizes of The King of Games t-shirts. Both go on sale (in Japan) next Friday at midnight Japan time. If you've ever thought to yourself, "I've always wanted a rather expensive Kid Icarus T-shirt" or "I'm a little person and would like a Mario Bros. t-shirt" you now know where to go. No word just yet on if they'll show up in the English language shop, but we'll bug KOG until they tell us.
I'm starting to think running competitions is a bad idea. Not because giving stuff away is bad, but choosing just a few winners out of many, many entries makes me cry. Inside.
