This isn’t some marketing survey or whatever. It’s an emotional investment in you. Yes, we’re interesting in knowing you, Kotaku reader person. You probably know enough about us — more than you even want to, we’re sure. But, hey, we’d like to know about you, too.

Anyway, here’s today’s question…

No one can play every game. No one has the time. But what one game fills you with the most shame to admit that you’ve never played? Not even once.

Me? I suspect my gamer credentials could be drawn into question with the admission I’ve never played World of Warcraft. I’ve seen other people play it – my housemate plays it all the time – but I’ve never once myself ventured into the MMO world of Azeroth. I feel OK about that, though. The years it apparently takes to get anywhere in WoW are surely better served playing, you know, all the other games out there.

Anyway, here’s today’s question…

Modern Warfare 2 was released on Tuesday. Which version did you get: PC, PS3 or Xbox 360? And which edition did you get: Standard, Hardened or Prestige?

Me? Well, Activision sent me the 360 version. If I’d bought it, I’d have probably got the same, and definitely the standard “just the disc, thanks!” edition. There’s no way I’d pay over twice as much for some night vision goggles.

Anyway, here’s today’s question…

We’re nearing the end of the first decade of the 21st century. Expect to see sites and publications everywhere running their “Best of the 00s” lists very, very soon. But what would be on yours? What is your favourite game of 2000-2009?

Me? I can’t choose just one, so I’ll let you off the hook, too. I’d put Silent Hill 2, Shadow of the Colossus, Metroid Prime, Psychonauts, Far Cry 2, Portal, GTA III, Thief: Deadly Shadows and… probably Mashed, actually, on my shortlist. Hmm, maybe I’ll have to think about it some more and do my own list in a few weeks. You?

Me? I’ve got an open mind right now. Only thing I don’t want to do is video reviews. So don’t suggest that. Any other suggestions you might have, fire away.

Anyway, here’s today’s question…

This crazy guy just played GTA IV for 40 hours straight. What’s the longest you’ve spent playing one game?

Me? I suspect it was probably Deus Ex. I can’t recall the exact length of time, but I was writing a walkthrough for it and <del datetime="2009-10-21T04:32:45+00:00">foolishly</del> gallantly decided to cover off many of the multiple paths and options you could take in each mission. I wrote the whole thing over 3 days while playing through. Impressive for a game that takes about 20 hours to finish.

Anyway, here’s today’s question…

Have you ever played a game that you liked, but you just couldn’t stand the main character? Or is that enough to turn you right off the whole game? Who’s the worst character you’ve played in a game, and why?

Me? As tempting as it might be to rattle off a list of Final Fantasy games, the punchability of Cloud, Squall, Tidus, etc is just another reason why I’m not a fan of the series – not the only reason. No, wait… let me take that back. I really hated Tidus.

Anyway, here’s today’s question…

Download-only games are all the rage. XBLA and PSN offer some of their system’s best titles. iPhone gaming has exploded. And this week, the PSP got its Minis service and the arrival of the PSPgo makes every game a download. But what’s your favourite? And how do they stack up against more expensive disc-based titles?

Me? Last year, Braid was my runner-up choice for the best game of the year. This year, I reckon Shadow Complex (despite some reservations around its story and hero) is in contention to go one better.

Anyway, here’s today’s question…

How big’s your hard drive? How mcuh storage space do you really need on your console? And are you happy with the existing storage options?

Me? My 60GB PS3 is about half full, thanks to a mix of installs and PSN games. I’ve never had to clear space off it. My 360 has a 120GB hard drive, after I got fed up with constantly deleting and redownloading XBLA games and DLC to squeeze onto my original 20GB drive. Now it’s around three-quarters full, but only because I can afford the luxury of installing all the games I’m currently playing. My Wii? Er… I’ve bought maybe 3-4 titles from the WiiWare and Virtual Console stores, so I’m nowhere near filling the 8GB card I bought with the console.

Anyway, here’s today’s question…

Last week Sony gave us the PS3 Slim and a price drop to $499, while at the same time shocking us with a $449 price tag for the PSPgo. Today, Microsoft had ditched the Pro and dropped the Elite to $449, while retaining the Arcade at $299. Meanwhile, Nintendo is sitting pretty. Who do you think is winning the console war and have the recent developments tipped the balance in a new direction?

Me? I quite like my PC.
