Man, I’m pretty excited about Journey. You may have noticed that in amongst the posts upon posts of unprofessional slobbering. Journey is being released on the PlayStation Network this March, but developer Thatgamecompany is already looking towards its next game, which looks to take things a “step further”.

Journey was my most anticipated game of 2011 and now, in the grand future of 2012, we could be very close to a release date for thatgamecompany’s latest effort.
I love Flower, it’s pretty much ensured I will buy every single game thatgamecompany creates till the day I die. It’s so good that I actually sat through this pop music performance, which actually uses Flower in the background as a mood setter! When I was a kid they used smoke machines for this kind of thing, now they’re using video games? ABSURD!
Chinese songstress Yang Yuying couldn’t have chosen a better video game to accompany a live performance of her song “I’ll Be Waiting For You In The Spring” than ThatGameCompany’s PlayStation Network masterpiece Flower, though she probably should have asked permission first.
Journey is my most anticipated game of the year. In fact, I’m so excited about Journey that I actually refused to use my Beta code because I didn’t want to ruin the impact of the final game when it’s released later this year. For the first time since I began writing about video games, I selfishly chose to delay gratification to suit my own needs. That’s how hyped I am about this game.
Might be! Developed by Thatgamecompany, Journey is set in a wind-swept desert. You are a traveler, making your way over sand dunes and through ruins.

Today is my day off. So why am I writing this post? Well, basically because I stumbled across this video interview with Jenova Chen from thatgamecompany, and was completely blown away. Chen’s latest game, Journey is already my most anticipated game of the year, and this video reaffirms that anticipation. Journey looks stunning.
