In January, rumours surfaced regarding a special, limited edition red Xbox 360 that would be released in conjunction with Resident Evil 5. Over the weekend, that Xbox 360 turned up in retail databases.
Pokemon, already a mainstay at Toys R Us nationwide, are getting dedicated areas inside the national toy story chain and the chain’s flagship Times Square store is getting a Pokemon boutique.
Anthony over at Ecogamer has sent through another deal, this time for Toys R Us. If you purchase a Wii game from a range the retailer has selected before April 24, it’ll throw in a copy of WarioWare Smooth Moves for free.
Hit the jump for the list of games this deal applies to. It’s actually fairly decent and includes Super Mario Galaxy, Zack & Wiki and Twilight Princess, among others.
Another tip from Anthony over at EcoGamer – this time it’s a deal for the original Xbox. Apparently Toys R Us is selling new, boxed packs of Microsoft’s older console for a measly $100. True, it’s previous gen, but it might make a nice Christmas present for younger gamers, if the Wii is a bit of a stretch.

Kotakuite Jose sends in news of the most recent Toys “R” Us game deal. In this week’s circular they are advertising a Buy 3 Get 1 Free deal on their entire stock of video games. The sale runs from tomorrow, Dec. 16th through Dec. 24th. This is a great opportunity to fill in some of the gaps in your collection or pick up some games for holiday gifts. The offer is also good online so you won’t have to wade through the crowds of stressed out parents and unruly ankle biters to get to your favourite titles. Sure, it’s not the greatest gaming sale that ever was, but free is free and that’s all good in my book.
This Sunday’s TRU ad reveals a big sale on Wii games. Buy two and get a third one free. For those of you that got that $US 25 gift crad with your purchase of Super Mario Galaxy, now is prime time to put that bad boy to good use. This sale is only good through Wednesday, so put some hustle in your muscle and get out there before all the goods are gone!

The most recent sales data from the NPD Group is missing a key retailer, reports GameDaily, as Toys R Us data was not factored into October’s monthly sales charts. Martin Zagorsek VP at The NPD Group told GameDaily that “we typically add a few retailers and lose one or two” and defends the company’s results, adding “overall our market coverage has not changed very much compared to last year.” More details on the change in NPD numbers at the original report.

It looks like the Super Mario Galaxy deals just keep on coming. First GameStop offers free two day shipping and now Toy “R” Us is getting in on the action too. Purchase your copy of the game that will make you dust off your Wii (in-store) from Toys “R” Us and you’ll be rewarded with a $US 25 dollar.gift card. Pretty sweet deal right there seeing as it’s about half off of another new game (depending on the game). That’s almost enough to make me want to get in the car, drive the ten miles to the nearest TRU and fight the hordes of screaming children to get it.

This week’s US Toys-R-Us Sunday circular is boasting a huge sale on all video games. Buy two games and get one free.
Angry fanboys are getting younger and younger these days. Fun Tech Talk is reporting that a thirteen year old South Carolina boy was picked up by Toys R Us security after it was discovered that he had written “PS3 Sucks” on twenty three plastic PS3 game security cases with permanent marker. The boy’s parents couldn’t be reached so he was put in the custody of child services (scary). When asked why he did it, the boy answered, “I have an Xbox and I hate Playstation. I found the marker lying on the shelf and I guess I was bored. Sorry.”
If only he’d saved his hate for anonymously posting into the comments on an internet blog site thus starting a massive flame war like an adult.
