God of War and Twisted Metal designer David Jaffe has posted a video on the Playstation.Blog site announcing the launch of the official Twisted Metal Blog. According to Jaffe, this the first time the game has had any kind of official blog covering its development and launch. To kick things off he has posted four gameplay videos with some short explanations to go along with. TM fans will be glad to know that Twisted Metal: Head On comes out on Tuesday for the PS2 at the low, low bargain price of $US 19.99.
For those who missed it earlier, the PlayStation 2 port of PSP car combat hit Twisted Metal: Head On has been revealed and it looks… yep, it’s Twisted Metal alright. Yes, yes, it’s for the fans, but I think I’m ready for that PlayStation 3 sequel now. Next-gen online multiplayer, please!
It looks like Eat Sleep Play’s new Twisted Metal: Head-On PS2 title will be more than just a PSP title with better graphics. It will be a PSP title with better graphics and plenty of extras (on top of the documentary that’s been announced). From Jaffe himself: …it seems like we’re gonna get some great fan videos coming in, so that- along with tons of old concept art, toys, video, and other behind the scenes stuff we’ve uncovered- should make for a good package! I’m jazzed!
I’m jazzed too, Jaffe. I’m jazzed too.
Remember David Jaffe’s teaser post about an upcoming Twisted Metal documentary? If not, the Eat Sleep Game honcho revealed that the doc, planned for the PlayStation 2 release of Twisted Metal: Head On will feature some lucky, articulate PlayStation fans in video form. All you have to do is answer a handful of questions about why you love Twisted Metal so much on camera, then upload your clip to YouTube. It looks like the details are still being worked out, but the questions you’ll need to answer are set in stone.
Did I mention that in addition to PlayStation fame, you’ll also score a free copy of the game if selected? Not a bad bonus for a few minutes of rambling.
