Microsoft has bought Twisted Pixel, the studio responsible for games like ‘Splosion Man, Comic Jumper and Gunstringer.
Like many folks, I’ve got a complicated relationship with pre-game splash screens. On the one hand, I like that series of middleware introductions, publisher logos, and various other graphical preamble that flash across my screen, largely because of how I savour them the first time I’m playing a game that I’m excited about.
Back in July, FX Pinball 2 creator Zen Studios revealed that Twisted Pixel’s Ms. ‘Splosion Man would supply the theme for the next table for the pinball simulator. Six fresh screens of that went out today.
Twisted Pixel’s sequel to 2009 explosive action-platformer ‘Splosion Man, the more feminine Ms ‘Splosion Man, comes to Xbox Live Arcade on July 13, boasting 50 all-new singleplayer levels, 50 multiplayer levels and a “2 Girls 1 Controller” mode.
