Rainbow Six Vegas 2 Review: Revenge of the AI

Posted by Brian Crecente at 4:00 AM on March 19, 2008

Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Vegas 2 brings gamers back to Sin City to rescue it from the clutches of another group of terrorist who've decided to start blowing stuff up. This time around, the game spends more time developing the characters and gives players a chance to shoot through the campaign with a friend in co-op mode. Ubisoft Montreal doesn't try to tinker with the formula, instead looking to add to what was an already popular title.

Vegas 2 can, at times, dip into the monotonous and the AI is spotty, but overall the game delivers a fun experience.

Posted by Simon Carless at 9:43 AM on November 21, 2007

hock.jpg Continuing the Game Inspirations series - getting developers to spill the beans about what games inspired them growing up - my next port of call was Ubisoft Montreal's Clint Hocking.

Live In Perth? Buy Assassin's Creed Right Now!

I don't think so. According to tipster AJ Mitchell, Gametraders in Carillion Arcade, Perth are currently selling copies of the Ubisoft title. I guess not everyone was affected by the stock shortage.

naruto.jpgFirst, a confession. I've been playing Naruto: Rise of a Ninja on Xbox 360 the last couple of days. I can assure you this was not part of the original plan.

No, the plan was to just give it a go, because I believe everything deserves a fair chance. Except maybe chloroform or blunt head trauma. I don't have anything against anime - I think it's great, actually - but I could never summon the desire to give a flying crap, or half a flying crap, about Pokemon, Dragon Ball Z and, of course, Naruto.

Jade Raymond Squashes Dreams For Assassin's Creed Demo

Posted by Mark Wilson at 5:40 AM on October 5, 2007

assassinscreed.jpgBad news, readers: there will no demo for Assassin's Creed. From Ms. Raymond herself:

No, we're not making a demo. This game is more like a sandbox style game where there's a lot of things, so it's not a linear mission where you can say, OK, we're making a demo and we're giving you this mission...
