Kotaku Timeline: Half-Life 2: Episode Three

Remember when you first finished Half-Life 2: Episode 2? The excitement? The shock? You were ready to set out with Alyx at your side, ready to show those alien bastards who’s boss. The trilogy, and with it, the Combine’s rule over Earth, would end soon.

Seduce Me Game Pulled From Steam Greenlight

In theory, Steam Greenlight will let any aspiring game developer get their game onto PC gaming’s hottest online marketplace as long as enough gamers vote for it. But that promise doesn’t appear to apply to the makers of the erotic game Seduce Me. The game’s listing was pulled from Steam’s new Greenlight service last Thursday, the same day it was posted there.

Team Fortress 2′s Meet The Pyro Adds New ‘Doomsday’ Mode

Team Fortress 2 fans will finally “Meet the Pyro” in “less than three days,” according to the official blog for Valve’s popular multiplayer game. (A countdown clock seems to place the debut at 4am AEST.) This may tie into Valve’s tease last week that it was teaming up with the Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim for… something.

Valve Delays Counter-Strike GO To Summer

Is This Valve’s Control Pad Design?

It’s beginning to seem entirely possible that PC gaming powerhouse Valve is working on its own “console” (or at least custom PC). Especially when you consider that it’s been working on control pad designs for nearly three years.

Sadly, Portal-Themed Combustible Lemon Does Not Actually Combust

Portal 2‘s Cave Johnson rants about citrus fruit in this trailer for an “Electronic Combustible Lemon”, which, when ignited, plays an ominous ticking countdown followed by what I presume is the sound of lemons exploding. Sadly, the lemon itself does not explode.

Valve Doesn’t Want To Make Portable Games

Nintendo is catching a lot of heat these days for refusing to make games for the iPhone, but one of the other elite video game companies, the forward-thinking makers of Portal, Counter-Strike and Team Fortress 2, Valve Software isn’t just shunning iPhone.

What The New Counter-Strike Is And Isn’t, According To Valve

The next Counter-Strike, the one coming out early next year called Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, won’t be called Counter-Strike 2, because that game would be “something different”, two of Valve’s top people on the new game recently told Kotaku.
