By now you must have seen the box art for the Game of the Year edition of Batman: Arkham City.
One of the best things about Batman: Arkham City’s marketing campaign were the all-white posters showing off the game’s characters. They were minimal, they were stylish. So thanks, Warner Bros., for shitting all over them with this atrocious box art.
Arkham CIty’s had some DX11 problems since its delayed PC release. A new patch from Rocksteady tries to fix this, but only if you don’t have Windows Vista or 7 32-bit. If you do, it makes things worse. Oh dear. [Rock, Paper, Shotgun]
To be perfectly honest, not too much to report here — just a release date — but it’s an important one. Batman: Arkham Cityis finally getting a release date for PC and that date is November 23.
The rather wonderful Batman: Arkham City will, thanks to its wealth of extra-curricular content, still be spinning in many people’s disc drives this week. No matter. Publishers Warner Bros. think now is the time to drop some fresh downloadable content for the singleplayer-only game.
This is the launch trailer for Batman: Arkham City, out this week on 360 and PS3. It shows most of the people you fight with, and against, in the game.
We’ve just gotten word that JB Hi-fi is now selling Batman: Arkham City ahead of its release date this Wednesday. We’re not sure exactly who was first to break street date at this moment, but we’ve had confirmation from JB Hi-fi in Pitt Street Mall that they are now selling the game. We expect all other specialist retailers to follow.
