Corridor Digital’s video “Sentry Sabotage” explores very well known themes of treachery within Team Fortress 2 but it does so with unbelievable execution. I knew how this would end before I finished it the first time and I’ve already watched it a dozen times more.
The premise to Mega64′s latest knee-slapper is rather obvious: Neckbeard beats Catherine-wait, that doesn’t sound right. Neckbeard finishes Catherine? Whatever. And he figures that his prowess in that game has some real world application.
Sure, Nerf Lancers have been done before, but that doesn’t mean they can’t be done better. This one, from reader Nick G, is also for sale on eBay.
The Living Legend proposed to his girl yesterday at Marvel’s Comic-Con 2011 booth. (Given the setting and costumes, these appear to be actors rather than civilian cosplayers, but the proposal is genuine.) As seen by Comic Book Therapy [h/t Daniel K.]
Asura’s Wrath, a new game (joining Dragon’s Dogma) due for a 2012 release, got a showing at the World of Capcom panel yesterday at Comic-Con. Here is a two minute video full of gameplay, showing off the game’s beat-em-up adventure cred.
Wrapping up a panel on Star Trek: The Captains, William Shatner’s documentary about the leading men of the Star Trek universe, Capt. Kirk rose to reprise the most famous four-letter word in Trek history, the subject of “The Long Khan,”, a documentary about the meme which premiered tonight on EPIX.
Shatner asked that the crowd join him in belting out one last rueful taking of Ricardo Montalban’s name in vain. Here it is. We shall leave you now, as you left her … marooned at the centre of a Comic-Con panel … buried alive … buried aliiiiiive.
Here is exactly what was shown of Halo: Anniversary‘s singleplayer campaign, today at Comic-Con 2011. The demonstration was also given to press at E3 back in June; this is its first public display. It covers the classic level “Silent Cartographer,” and showcases the ability to switch between updated high-definition graphics and the low-def visuals of the original Halo: Combat Evolved.
Last week, I ran a video that showed a Nintendo rep playing The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword using the required Motion Plus advanced Wii Motion Control. I thought it was cool, but many readers expressed disappointment that you’re still using motion control to trigger the moves of your character in the game. You’re not performing 1:1 synced motion-controlled swordplay.
I will play any game that pits the forces of magic against (relatively) modern military forces. Battlefield Heroes gets wizards today. I approve.
There’s a new Pokemon jet. This is it! On July 18, this All Nippon Airways Boeing 777-300 Peace Jet landed in Hokkaido.
