New Zoids Assault Screens And Childhood Memories

Posted by Mike Fahey at 2:20 AM on July 10, 2008

My love affair with the Zoids line of toys stems from back in the mid-80's, when I asked my mother for a Christmas filled with Transformers and she ended up buying me a pile of Zoids instead. I'd like to think that it was a move designed to get me involved with smarter toys that required building, rather than the result of her putting off Christmas shopping til the last minute. I suspect however that she's who I inherited my penchant for procrastination from. Speaking of which, no new delays for Zoids Assault for the Xbox 360 since the last one, so things are still looking good for an September 9th release, both from a retail standpoint and a graphical one. Enjoy these latest shots while we wait.

Zounds! Zoids Assault Delayed!

Posted by Michael McWhertor at 11:00 AM on June 19, 2008

Atlus broke the bad news to Zoids fan(s) that its strategic RPG Zoids Assault for the Xbox 360 would be delayed to September. It also released a batch of new screenshots to, in its own words, "draw attention away from the game's brief delay". The press release continued to be surprisingly frank.

"Zoids Assault is going to slip out of late August and into early September - the 9th to be exact... Hey, are these new Zoids Assault screenshots? These are great! Let's focus on these instead," pleaded Aram Jabbari, Assistant Manager of Sales and PR, holding a set of awesome new Zoids Assault screenshots above his head.

I didn't write that last paragraph. Here are new screenshots.

Atlus Announces Xbox 360-Exclusive Zoids Assault

Posted by Leigh Alexander at 6:20 AM on May 14, 2008

Like "enormous beasts of steel?" Atlus announced Zoids Assault, which it says contains many such beasts, headed exclusively for Xbox 360 on August 26th.

Described as a demonstration of "commitment" to that system, Atlus' "gritty militaristic strategy RPG" revolves around tactics and customisation for giant biomechs in a war between the Guylos Empire and the Republic of Helic.

Hey, lots of you have said you're sick of World War II, right?

Full release after the jump.
