Censor Watch

A couple of notables amid the swathe of games up before the Classification Board last week. First, a new but unannounced Cricket game from EA. We'll be asking them about that today. Second, the third confirmed Wiimake, Donkey Kong Jungle Beat. And we'll be asking Nintendo about that one, too.

Over the last seven days, these games have survived the scrutiny of our censors:

Again, our inadequate rating system at work.
M For Wolverine on PS2, Wii and PSP and 15+ for the 360 and PS3...
When can we have the fair and balanced rating system we as discerning, responsible adults, many of us parents (I'm not a parent but I know of many that are gamers,) that we deserve? That is apparently good enough for millions around the world, but not those of us Down Under, where our parents allow us to make our own desicions when we turn 18, yet one person thinks he should be able to make those desicions for us anyway by imposing what is effectively a gag order on freedom of speech and a chokehold on our right to make the choice for ourselves?
