   This makes me glad I’m with iiNet for quota free download of it. I’ll definitely be buying the card in the store, always love all the GTA posters.

   I’m surprised Microsoft have never dabbled with offering DLC through memory card at retail stores. I know you can get Worms on a memory card (saw it at JB the other day), but they should offer a lot of this DLC on memory cards, providing a four or five dollar discount off what the cost would be if purchased seperately.

   Uh, David… you seem to be forgetting that you can already buy MS Point cards in stores. I’m going to hazard a guess and say that buying a non-GTA branded one would be a cheaper option (although still not as cheap as credit card).

   I agree with your idea, but I have a cheaper alternative: flash drives. With the drives themselves being so ridiculously cheap, they’d hardly need to bump the price up at all to make a profit. I’m sure a lot of people would be happy to pay $5-10 more for the content for the convenience of not having to download it.

   I’m pretty sure MS Points cards only come in values of 1500 or 3000, whereas the GTA DLC is 2000.

   True, and fair enough. You seemed to imply in the article that there was no such option, by my reading. On that note though, Microsoft needs to re-adjust its increments, big time – for both credit cards and points cards. Why sell in blocks of 500 when most content is sold in blocks of 400?

   The reason why they sell in blocks of 500 when most content is in blocks of 400 is so they can make more money.
   e.g. Someone buys 1000 microsoft points and downloads something for 800 points leaving them 200 points, now as far as I know the only thing you can get for 200 points is Dig Dug and if you don’t want that you have to buy more points to be able to use the 200 you have left.

   It’s just a ploy to get you to give them more of your hard earned.

    It’s strategic. Why give you the right ratio of points. They know that if they sell them at an irregular ratio, when you’re running low on points, you’re going to have to re-invest in another card. It’s quite pathetic though, the US can buy them in 400 point increments.

    David, how are they dealing with the “hooker” issue that lead to an edited version of gta 4 in oz.

    I’ve also hear that the lost and the damned will be 1600 ms point (from u.s kotaku articles) we’re not getting charged extra are we!?

    Also if you imported the un-edited version how will downloading an edited version (if its edited) of L&D affect your gaming experience.

    You’re absolutely right, it is 1600 MS Points. (Not sure why I said 2000!) So, yeah, that retail version is over-priced… unless the poster really is worth $8.55.

    Pretty much what I was thinking. Will there be different PAL versions to cater for our gimped GTA IV? Given that game saves from the MA version load just fine with the R(eal) version, I’d be inclined to think it will share a rating with the game that loads it, but I don’t know if I’d want to blow 1600 MS points on a hunch.

    Any chance you can get some info on that David?

    Not to be rude m8 but if you were gunna put it on a flash drive, you may as well just burn it to a 30 cent DVD yea?

    I too would like to know what happens when you the this new downloaded add on with an R18 import version of the game. One thing I did notice, and I’m still trying to find a work around. When I applied the latest patch to GTA4 (I assume to enable Lost and Damned to be played) released the other day, MY UNCUT VERSION REVERTED BACK TO AN MA15 CUT VERSION. Yes you heard right. It seems within the patch released over Xbox Live it changes the game. So I reversed the update and funny enough GTA4 played R18 again but without the patch I can’t play GTA4 over Live. This is driving me insane. You do miss alot when playing uncut to cut versions, I purchased both. Uncut is just more realistic like when Niko get’s shot stains appear on his clothes and crims coke snorting etc etc, just more realistic.

    Has anyone lse found this problem?
