The Resident Evil 5 PS3 Demo Is Live

You might have missed it what with the first review being in and the Killzone 2 demo coming out this week - but just as a reminder, the Resident Evil 5 demo dropped on PSN today.

I wasn't a huge fan of the demo back when I tried it out at the Capcom holiday event - but I have to admit if you liked the co-op in Gears of War 2, you're going to want to give this a go. And I give a grudging nod to the game for allowing split-screen; I don't see that enough these days.

Just be ready to not be scared at all and to always - wait, never - shoot your buddy when they're taking on the Pyramid Head-looking guy.

Here's the official blog notice from Sony (and can someone tell me why he says "February 2 is just around the corner" when February 2 is in fact today?):

I WAS looking forward to this title so I'm really glad I had a chance to try out the demo first... the control scheme is just way too clunky... the older res series games were like that too but nowadays it's just antiquated... visuals are nice but if the control isn't there then I say why bother! here's to crossing game number 1 of of my most anticipated games of 2009. Here's to hoping Killzone 2 lives up to half of it's hype.

I played through the first level--two words to describe it: VERY SHORT.And the second level...well, i got decapitated by the chainsaw guy!!!!!! I guess I am in for a blast as soon as I get my pre-ordered copy of the game on March 13--O shyt i just looked at my calendar and it is a [email protected]##$%

So, why is the Xbox version of the demo around 470mb, yet the PS3 demo is about 930mb?
