Club Nintendo opened for Australians today. But it hasn’t been a smooth launch. If you’ve tried registering and entering your product codes, let us know if it’s worked for you. Let’s see if a pattern emerges.

Nobody that I have read on various forums has had their previous registration on the old site recognised. Which means if you didn’t keep your cards, you’re shit outta luck, despite Nintendo’s original email that said your Star points had been kept for safe keeping.

Super Smash Bros. Brawl
I haven’t registered any other codes since I found out that Stars expire after a certain amount of time (a period of time I’ve been unable to discover), so I’m holding off on them until I have a whole bunch.

I can tell you right now that people have been stealing club codes from game cases on shelves, or jotting down numbers the same way. Stores need to secure all game manuals in a drawer, as this is a pretty big problem.
Did not work for me at first and I initially thought it was because I had already registered them before the Club Nintendo launch. As it turns out, the codes are case sensitive, so use caps if it’s not working.
Also, if you were using the Club Nintendo link off Nintendo.com.au yesterday, you would have been directed to the wrong page – this has been fixed today, though.
WORKING:
Super Smash Bros
Mario Kart
Wii Fit
If you already preregistered your codes, you need to reregister both your user details and codes. Preregistering, it turns out, was a waste of time.

Working:
– Wii Fit (thanks Mum, what I really needed for my birthday was lower self-esteem)
– Mario Kart Wii
– Korg DS10 Synthesizer.
NOT WORKING
– Metroid Prime: Corruption.
– the old account obviously.
I sure have lost a few of those little booklets.
WORKING
Mario Kart Wii
Super Mario Galaxy
I found that you had to input the letters as capitals – lower-case letters result in a failed registration.
super mario galaxy doesn’t have a code, does it?
I’ve got it, but there was no card with a code in it.
Pre-registered all of the following titles last year,
WORKING
WII FIT
BRAWL
MARIO CART
I had trouble to start with too. Just remember to enter the product code exactly as it appears on the invitations. That means in capital letters, plus make sure the 0s and Os are right. As soon as I changed the letters to capitals it worked straight away. Could be worth trying if you’re having trouble
WORKING
Mario Kart Wii
WORKING
WiiFit
Mario Kart Wii
Both worked fine for me. Haven’t got anything else to register at this point.
Working :
Wii Fit
Mario Kart
Just got an email asking me to re-enter all my codes (with the codes themselves in the email), so I did, and they all worked.
WORKING:
Wii Fit
Mario Kart Wii
Super Smash Bros. Brawl
New Play Control! Pikmin
I just received an email from Club N listing all my previously registered codes, all of which worked when entered.
WORKING
Disaster: Day of Crisis

Haven’t tried the code for Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon yet.
Both the codes they sent me by email worked, those being SSMB and Mario Kart Wii.
WORKING:
Brawl
Disaster: Day of Crisis
both of which I pre-registered.
It’s all good, I think…

I have many Nintendo wii products and can’t find any product cards. Where are they supposed to be??
Not every Wii product holds a Club Nintendo code, but all games published by Nintendo themselves do. If your games are published by another company (EA, Activision, etc) they may not have a code.
Inside the game case you’ll see a little booklet labelled “Club Nintendo… Your Personal Invitation”. Your code is written inside this.
