MadWorld’s probably the highlight this week. But Wii owners should also consider Mario Power Tennis. And fans of real-time strategy, whether on PC, console or even Mac, have a generous selection to choose from. What are you picking up this week?

UPDATE: Ubisoft has just advised that Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Echoes of Time has slipped to next week. both the Wii and DS versions will be out on April 2. Also, the PC version of Square Enix RPG The Last Remnant, previously scheduled for release last week, will now go on sale this Thursday.

New releases for the w/c March 23

Battleforge (PC)
What Is it? Online only RTS meets trading card game.
Should You Care? Does Warcraft: The Gathering sound appealing?

Buzz: Brain of Oz (PS3)
What Is it? Another installment in the quiz show “party starter” series.
Should You Care? Is it hosted by Tony Barber?

Codename Panzers: Cold War (PC)
What Is it? Real-time strategy from Germany. Think tanks. Lots of tanks.
Should You Care? Do you tank-rush?

Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3 Uprising (PC)
What Is it? Expansion pack for, what else, Red Alert 3.
Should You Care? If you liked Red Alert 3, here’s some more of it.

Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3 (MAC, PS3)
What Is it? Red Alert 3. But on the Mac.
Should You Care? Do you own a Mac?

Don King Boxing (Wii, DS)
What Is it? Big-haired boxing “sim”.
Should You Care? Don King’s Prizefighter was terrible, so it seems unlikely.

Family Ski and Snowboard (Wii)
What Is it? Snowbound sports “party” game that’s less extreme than Shaun White.
Should You Care? Is your balance board gathering dust?

Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Echoes of Time (Wii, DS)
What Is it? Simple RPG that allows for Wii and DS cross-platform play.
Should You Care? There are more interesting RPGs on the DS at least.

Harvest Moon: Island of Happiness (DS)
What Is it? Cutesy life simulation where you balance work and relationship demands.
Should You Care? Everyone should play one Harvest Moon, but perhaps two is stretching it.

Job Island: Hard Working People (Wii)
What Is it? Quirky mini-game collection with jobs including cameraman, stuntman and make-up artist.
Should You Care? Daft nonsense, but the right kind of daft nonsense.

MadWorld (Wii)
What Is it? Like Buzz, but with chainsaws instead of trivia.
Should You Care? Introduce your Wii to mature-rated gaming.

Mario Power Tennis (Wii)
What Is it? Wiimake of the Gamecube sports title, now with optional motion control.
Should You Care? Not the best Mario Tennis game (hello Mario Tennis 64), but the best one on the Wii.

Ready 2 Rumble Revolution (Wii)
What Is it? Big-headed boxing game.
Should You Care? Keep waiting for Punch-Out!!

Stormrise (360, PS3, PC)
What Is it? Vertical RTS from the Creative Assembly’s Brisbane branch.
Should You Care? Have EndWar and Halo Wars given you a taste for console strategy?

Wheelman (360, PS3, PC)
What Is it? Vin Diesel vehicle featuring Vin Diesel in numerous vehicles.
Should You Care? Vin Diesel fans should know he’s got a better game coming out in April.
