The Week In Games

The delightful fantasy of Little Kings Story for Wii heads up this week's triumvirate of new releases. Elsewhere there's something for Koei and/or Gundam fans and anyone who enjoys very average racing games.

New releases for the w/c April 20:

Dynasty Warriors Gundam 2 (360, PS3) What Is it? Action game with strategic overtones that pits you against hundreds of enemies across expansive battlefields. Should You Care? Opinion is divided between those who feel this is the pinnacle of the series and those for whom all Dynasty Warriors games are identikit button mashers.

Little Kings Story (Wii) What Is It? Part role-playing game and part city management game whose cutesy graphics belie some surprisingly complex strategy. Should You Care? As one of - if not the - deepest and most rewarding experience on the Wii, hardcore gamers need to check this out.

Moto GP '08 (Wii) What Is It? Motorbike racing sim that's a year too late. Should You Care? Apparently it's terrible.

They were advertising MotoGP 08 as being "out now" back during the telecast of last year's Australian race. Boy, did they get that one wrong...

If DW:G2 is anywhere near as bad as the first one I would advise that people stay the hell away from it.

@RedIon - it is OUT, just wasnt out on the Wii, until this week....

Preordered LKS. It's another chance for the hardcore Wii owners to prove their existence as they failed to do for Madworld. No excuses about a lack of depth for this title.

"As one of - if not the - deepest and most rewarding experience on the Wii, hardcore gamers need to check this out."

But they won't. They'll just clog forums with whiny posts about how there's never anything to play on the Wii outside of mini-game compilations and shovelware. The only hardcore thing about them is how hardcore they can whinge.
