Back before the DS was released, Mario and Zelda creator Shigeru Miyamoto was conceptualising a touch-screen role-playing-game.
The game's patent has recently popped up online, and the RPG is heavy with RPG cliches (monsters, random battles, etc.). Though, the game does offer a fresh take on the genre.
During combat, the monsters move in patterns, and players try tapping them. Depending on where the monsters are tapped, the corresponding amount of battle damage was been deducted from the enemy's HP. For example, if you tap the monster in the stomach, the damage total is 10. But tap the monster in the eye, and the battle damage is 20.
