What Are You Playing This Weekend?

Wanted: Weapons of Fate (pictured) and Resistance: Retribution are two games I typically wouldn't give a second look. But for some reason I've decided to give them both a go this weekend.

Part of the appeal, I think, is that I've heard they're both quite short. Finishing games is a good thing. Especially since my other gaming project this weekend is researching, downloading and installing a whole bunch of mods for Oblivion. With that in mind, I'm not really looking to start another game that I won't be completing for weeks, if not months.

So what are you playing this weekend? And, for any Elder Scrolls fans out there, any mod recommendations for me?

I'm going to play Minna de Spelunker, which I downloaded off JP PSN. It gets bashed a lot, but it's actually an amazingly fun game with what seems to be 100 very big levels full of classic-style platforming action. It's very hard, but fair, and at times hilariously absurd - like one point when I collected a key, then the wall gave way next to it and I got killed by a tidal wave. Stuff like that happens frequently, and you never know what or how.

Very, very playable, especially considering I haven't had the patience to play non-Metroidvania platformers for 10 years.

Well, I also considered Wanted, and play it last night. It took about 4 hours. I wouldn't say it was bad, but it's satisfying in the same manner as the film was - stylish, over-the-top, 'cool', yet shallow. I suppose it's worth playing, considering it doesn't take that long anyway.

Good to see its not just me still playing oblivion

TESNexus is the best place for mods, and their top 100 is very accurate.
If you want specific mods such as new quests and story lines, go to the appropriate category, and arrange by downloads (not by rating)

The mod that stops the scaling of the monsters level is a must, just do you can run into something much higher than you adds so much more appeal to running around the woods.

    Resi 5
    Killzone2
    NHL09
    Mass Effect
    & Revisiting Lost Odyssey

I'm planning on playing some Valkyria Chronicles and Disgaea 3 for most of the weekend, but I also just downloaded Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection and the MGS4 content for LittleBigPlanet, so I'll also have a few fights online and aim to get all the trophies from the MGS4 pack

Yeah, I've got OOO+MMM installed to take care of the scaling and add variety. Still trying to decide on a leveling mod. I want something unobtrusive and where I'm not monitoring my skill use to maximise level-ups. Leaning towards Realistic Leveling right now.

Also interested in any mods that add depth/realism to the stealth system. Not overly fussed about changing melee combat or magic, but any suggestions are welcome.

And, of course, I'm after new quests. Loads of 'em.

I'll be achievement whoring in Fallout 3.
And when I'm done I'll probably return to GTA4 or Far Cry 2.

I recently picked up Valkyria Chronicles off ebay for 59 bucks. So far it's pretty good, looking forward to spend more time on it this weekend. :)

Downloaded Majora's Mask, so i'll be playing that in between sessions of Chinatown Wars.

Flower, My French Coach, Brazilian Men.

Demons Souls, this game is great! shame they don't have enough exposure in the media!
