   Hey David

   Instead of reading the same shit every week in regards to these depressing sales charts (I mean seriously, Wii Play and Wii Fit? WTF?) is there any chance you might print a sales chart from 10 or so years ago, just so we can see what a sales chart with real games looks like?

   So you can still print the current weeks chart, but then also a – Week ending May 10, 1998 chart as well, for example

   Make sense?

   As well as this chart, it would be good to have a top 10 that leaves out all things Nintendo. That might actually be useful.

   What gets me is the number of dumb, fat people I run into everywhere, every day. Is there a big irony here or are these people trying to better themselves en masse?

   (I was going to add “bad driving” to the “dumb and fat” description to cover Mario Kart but that actually explains a lot of the horrible driving I see daily).

   Nintendo should get their own Top 10.

   Then you could have an alternate Top 10 Non-Nintendo games. It’s a little more work, but… at least it’ll keep things FRESH.

   Do they ever release stats for 11-20 or anything? Maybe you can start making the ‘Kotaku AU charts’ which only include actual *games* and not crappy DS training things or hardware bundles like Wii Fit and Wii Play.

   Because honestly, every month is going to be Wii Fit, Wii Play, Brain Training. It’s monotonous.

   Actually those “10 years ago” charts are always interesting when done for music. A games one would be pretty cool. Gets the nostalgia going and makes you realise how fast those last 10 years have gone by.

   I think the important thing to remember here is that it was Mother’s Day, so Wii fit would have gone crazy!!! As for sales performance for 1998, prolly still would have been Nintendo games
