Bargain Hunter: JB Hi-Fi May Deals

jbhifi-shopThe Bargain Hunter has been snooping around JB Hi-Fi's May sales. Let's see what he's found.

Nothing truly spectacular, to be honest. If you're in the market for a new console, you could however do worse that paying RRP and get three games bundled in, which is what they're offering for the PS3, Wii and Xbox 360 right now.

In terms of games, most new releases are about $20 off the RRP. Which is nice. The best deals though are to be had on older titles, good or bad. The Club, for example, is something of a steal at 2900 money points. Turning Point: Fall of Liberty, however, is not.

Hardware PS3 (plus Ratchet & Clank, Singstar ABBA and Sega Mega Drive Ultimate Collection) $699 Wii (plus Wii Sports, My Fitness Coach and Monopoly) $399 Xbox 360 (60GB console plus Assassin's Creed, FIFA 09 and Beijing 2008) $399

Software Beijing 2008 (360, PS3) $29 Big Beach Sports (Wii) $34 Brain Challenge (PS3) $29 The Club (360) $29 Don King Prizefighter (360) $29 Facebreaker (PS3) $29 Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2 (360, PS3) $29 Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars (DS) $49 Hasbro Family Game Night (Wii) $49 The Hulk (360, PS3) $29 Job Island (Wii) $59 Kane & Lynch (360, PS3) $29 NBA 08 (PS3) $29 Need for Speed Prostreet (PS3) $29 NHL 2K8 (PS3) $29 Overlord (360) $29 Pokemon Diamond/Pearl (DS) $29 Pokemon Mystery Dungeon (DS) $29 Rainbow Six Vegas 2 (PS3) $29 Ratatouille (PS3) $29 Rock Band (360, PS3, Wii) $149 Sega Mega Drive Ultimate Collection (360, PS3) $49 Splinter Cell Double Agent (PS3) $29 Turning Point (PS3) $29 Virtua Fighter 5 (360) $29

NBA 08 is $29 but on Play Asia NBA 2K9 on 360 is $AU30 inc postage for this week only.

Must be a slow news day when all you've got to post are these "bargains"

Hmm no Rainbow Six Vegas 2 was the 360 version?

And these are fairly good prices for aussie retail (not wanting to rehash the Australia Price Wars)
