Latest Mx Vs. ATV Gives You Control Of The Rider

In MX vs. ATV Reflex, due out this holiday, gamers will have separate control of the rider and the vehicle in a terrain-deforming world sporting a new physics engine, THQ announced today.

In Reflex, gamers will control the vehicle with one thumbstick and the rider with another, according to the press release. The game will use the Rhythm Racing 2.0 physics engine developed by Rainbow Studios to deal with terrain deformation.

"Rhythm Racing 2.0 is the most advanced physics engine Rainbow Studios has ever created, and is an all-inclusive framework that characterizes the essence of MX vs. ATV Reflex," said Nick Wlodyka, general manager, Rainbow Studios. "We've combined the fluid Rider Reflex control system with ever-changing, real-time terrain deformation to create an experience that will immerse gamers in the rhythm of a race like never before."

The game is due out this holiday for the DS, Playstation Portable, Playstation 3 and Xbox 360. Stay tuned tomorrow for our impressions of the game when the embargo lifts.
