Aussie Charts: PS3 Fight Night KOs 360 Version

Aussie Charts: PS3 Fight Night KOs 360 Version

Fight Night Round 4 came out two weeks ago. Both the 360 and PS3 versions made the charts this week, but who won?

If you’d read the headline you’d know the PS3 did, debuting at #4 compared to the 360’s showing at #7. So that’s yet another multi-format gaming that has sold better – at launch anyway – on Sony’s console.

Elsewhere, The Sims 3 has dropped right out, to my considerable surprise. Stock shortages, perhaps? Other notable drop-outs are inFamous and EA Sports Active, the latter possibly collapsing from exhaustion trying to keep pace with Wii Fit.

Oh, and great to see Disney Club Penguin: Elite Penguin Force make a deserved resurgence…

All Format Full-Priced Games Top 10 for the w/e June 28:

1. Wii Fit (Wii)
2. Wii Play (Wii)
3. Mario Kart (Wii)
4. Fight Night Round 4 (PS3)
5. Pokemon Platinum (DS)
6. Mario Kart (DS)
7. Fight Night Round 4 (360)
8. Virtua Tennis 2009 (Wii)
9. Rhythm Heaven (DS)
10. Disney Club Penguin: Elite Penguin Force (DS)

  • Does Wii play up there mean that the wii itself it outselling all the games on itself other than fit?

      • Then maybe Wii Play should be classed as hardware..

Nobody is impressed that Nintendo has managed to hold the top spots indefinatley with it..

Im dead set psycic.. the chat this time next year..

        1. Natal – Includes some form of demo disc
        2. PS3 Magic Wands – As above
        3. Wii fit
        4. Wii Play.
        5-10. Sims 3 expansions..

        Can’t wait.. lol

  • There needs to be a count… Could swear the PS3 is edging out the 360 on multiplatform games doing better in it’s first week in 2009…

  • Most PS3 owners were PS2 owners and FNR3 was huge on PS2. I don’t remember many people talking about it on xbox, so in a way this kinda makes sense. I think…

  • Also, can anyone find out what the sales for FNR3 were on PS3 and XBOX360?

Personally I’m not rushing out to get FNR4 cos I played FNR3 to death and am kinda over boxing games for a bit.

If there were more sales of FNR3 on 360 then maybe other 360 owners and feeling the same way…?

  • This is actually sort of surprising. FN3 was a big game for 360 owners – it was probably the best looking game out on the system when it came out. I think the 360 version of 3 probably sold more (it came out about a year before the PS3 launched here), although I don’t actually have any proof to back that up. In any case, FN Round 4 is a fantastic game either way, a huge improvement on the already great Round 3.

  • Not to mention that the 360 version suffers from crashes on loading screens and loss of player control when coming into a round in multiplayer. But it’s still a kickass game on PS3 or 360.
