Where World Of Warcraft Meets He-Man

World of Warcraft isn't just a video game. It's a trading card game as well, and being a trading card game, it can slip a few things under the legal radar its digital cousin may not be able to manage.

Like these cards, which skate so close to the thin ice covering Lake Copyright Infringement that you can hear it cracking audibly underfoot.

I mean, Adam Eternum is...OK. But Keldor is Skeletor's real, actual name. Surely that's a bit much. But hey, hopefully it's not, because as far as hat-tips go, this is pretty great. They even switched up He-Man a bit, making him less grunty grunty Dolph Lundgren, more sexy swarthy Cary Elwes.

These characters ARE in world of Warcraft already. Adam Eternum is in Dalaran, next to his Battle Tiger, and Keldor is on the opposite side of Dalaran. They are the Alliance and Horde Arathi Basin Battlemasters.

      Sorry, not Dalaran, Shattrath City.

When first implemented, Adam Eternum was known as Adam Heman. He also had a little dialogue before they added BG Queues:

"I've come to Outland hoping to discover powerful artifacts to assist the League of Arathor against the Defilers in Arathi Basin... but all I've found is this smashing magical loincloth, a ridiculous gnome sidekick, and an egomaniacal undead stalker who insists I've stolen his grey skull, or some such."

This is nothing new, there are a whole BUNCH of characters/events in world of warcraft that are inspired by real-world or pop culture counterparts

-Harris Pilton, Blood Elf female in Shattarah
    -Mimrons V0-L7R-0N (Voltron) weapons platform
-In the Dalaran Sewers, there are 4 turtles standing around a sewer rat

    Just to show a few
