Tell Us Dammit

Dammit, we want you to tell us stuff! Stuff like what you're gonna miss most this year.

This isn’t some marketing survey or whatever. It’s an emotional investment in you. Yes, we’re interesting in knowing you, Kotaku reader person. You probably know fucktons about us — more than you even want to, we’re sure. But, hey, we’d like to know about you, too.

Anyway, here’s today’s question…

With a raft of games previously scheduled for 2009 slipping into next year, which one delay is going to leave the biggest hole in your gaming schedule?

Me? I know it was never officially confirmed for this year, but I'm bummed about Heavy Rain still being a year away. Even though I wasn't hugely impressed by what I saw of Heavy Rain at E3 this year, I'm a huge fan of Quantic Dream's prior work. Fahrenheit and Omikron were fresh takes on the adventure genre, despite not quite being as great as they promised. And there are few titles like them still coming this year...

Probably for me, it was Darksiders.

I know it hasnt been pushed back as recently as all of the others, but I heard about it back at the start of the year and it was set to come out in September then.

Then I heard somewhere that it wasnt coming out down here, then I just heard nothing about it till E3 when all of a sudden it was back with alot of Marketing and Press...which made me ever so happy..

When I heard that the new release date was 1/1/2010, it kinda made me sad...but then I released it would have a release window pretty much to itself, so it wouldnt get drowned out by more high profile games.

Suffice to say, Im venturing out New Years Day to pick it up.

    /obligatory Duke Nukem Forever comment

Seriously though, with the number of interesting titles that are still slated for release in 2009 there isn't a hole to fill for me.

Diablo III, Although it wasn't confirmed for this year, I was really hoping against hope it would be. The Starcraft II delay has almost certainly pushed it back.

    Splinter Cell Conviction and MAG

Starcraft II definitely. Also BioShock 2. They each leave equally big holes.

Red Dead Redemption or Mafia 2. I was really looking forward to Mafia 2. Has Borderlands been delayed?

    Also Splinter Cell :(

Splinter Cell: Convictions. That was the game that grabbed my attention the most coming out of E3.

Starcraft II by a country mile, wasn't interested in anything else really

Where the hell is Gran Turismo?

Red Dead Redemption. and i'll bet you ten bucks we wont see Max Payne 3 this year like the initial press release says.

    An Elite. =(

    I'm still devastated about FF13.

Fragile: Farewell Ruins of the Moon. The US release got pushed quietly into Q1 2010 and no one seemed to notice. :( Looking forward to that quite a bit, it looks like a really interesting game.

Unfortunately being on the Wii and being a niche title it'll probably sell all of fifty copies.

Splinter Cell for me aswell. I was really looking forward to it!

Well, we all can look at the delay as more wor/polish added to the game. :)

none Assassins Creed 2 is still comming out this year... and at time of writting its

114 days, 4 hours, 26 minutes and 18 seconds till scheduled release day here in Aus

I'm gutted cos I just found out that Tekken 6 won't be released til 19 November now.

Won't be surprised if its pushed back to next year too.

Bioshock 2 for me. I'm looking forward to Heavy Rain, but that one has always felt like it was five years away from the day it was announced.
