Resident Evil: Afterlife All Official

While we knew that there would be yet another Resident Evil movie, it wasn't official-official. Now it is.

Website ShockTillYouDrop report that the Screen Gems and Constantin Film have officially announced that production on Resident Evil: Afterlife has kicked off in Toronto, Canada.

The film will be shot entirely in 3D and directed by Paul W.S. Anderson. Afterlife stars Milla Jovovich as Alice, and Ali Larter and Spencer Locke will reprise their roles as Claire Redfield and K-Mart from the previous films. Actor Wentworth Miller is joining the cast as Claire's brother, Chris Redfield. Shawn Roberts will play Wesker.

"Alice's battle with The Umbrella Corporation isn't finished," says director Anderson. "Last time we saw Alice, she let them know she was coming after them. It's time to settle the score." Dun-dun-dunnnnnnnnnnnnnn.

Wentworth Miller as Chris Redfield? Eww. Couldn't they have tried to find someone who at least looked like him?

only took them 4 movies but at least they have chris in there. pity the movie will suck like the first 3.

I found that if you watch these movies and think of them as a B-grade zombie fest instead of a sodomised adaptation of one of our favourite gaming franchises, they are actually not too bad.

    Really... Wentworth Miller as Chris...??

and here I was all excited about that rumor of Chris Evans playing that part...

    Wentworth Miller... sigh

Going to second the B-horror thing here. If you watch them as a dumb as hell zombie movie with a pretty lady as the lead role, you will enjoy them a lot more. Anderson isn't the worst director, he just makes popcorn.

    His wife flavoured popcorn...

Why don' they just rebadge these movies as soemthign else - then I wouldn't go into them expecting resident evil, and getting NOT resident evil. Maybe call them 'Milla boobs fight zombie horde' - that would rate imo.
