Aussie Charts: Scribblenauts Plays Chart Chicken

Aussie Charts: Scribblenauts Plays Chart Chicken

It’s possible there were queues like this outisde game stores around the country last week. Yes, that’s Scribblenauts entering the top ten two weeks after release.

For those unaware, that ridiculous red “rooster hat” was handed out as promo merch and preorder swag for the launch of Scribblenauts. The game just missed out on featuring in last week’s top ten, but it makes amends this time around with a creditable 10th place showing.

Predictably, Halo 3: ODST regains the #1 slot from FIFA 10, while EA Sports Active makes a surprise return, presumably on the back of some heavy discounting and the odd soft bundle.

All Format Full-Priced Games Top 10 for the w/e October 11:

1. Halo 3: ODST (360)
2. FIFA 10 (PS3)
3. Wii Fit (Wii)
4. FIFA 10 (360)
5. Wii Play (Wii)
6. Professor Layton and Pandora’s Box (DS)
7. EA Sports Active (Wii)
8. Wii Sports Resort (Wii)
9. Need For Speed: Shift (PS3)
10. Scribblenauts (DS)

  • Wii Fit Plus is a “sequel” if you could call it that. So Wii Fit may still be on the charts and sell. Owners may want each. I think thats how it works, unless Plus comes with all the content from the first?? Dunno… who cares really??

    Halo reigns!!!!

Oh and i doubt “heavily discounted” contributed to EA Sports Active, i think more, heavily advertised. I mean i’ve seen that on TV more than any other video game recently. Not like i’ve seen many video game commercials lately, except FIFA and before that probably the Ashes. At least is succeeds in its field unlike Wii Fit.
