Mr Explody
Good work on finding a screenshot of Alley Cat that doesn’t actually have the cat in it.

Runs ok, good for a laugh.
Funny bit of trivia I found is that the game apparently still runs on newer processors at the correct speed. How that stands up with the current batch of processors I don’t know, but hey.

Damn, the first one in ages I knew and it’s already been answered 🙂
Yes, definitely Alley Cat, which I recently rediscovered with Dosbox…

I’ve never seen Alley Cat in colour! I used to play it on my aunt’s massive laptop, and the screen was different hues of orange and black. That was a good arse game and every so often I’ll think back on it fondly the same way you back on that girl in year 5 who first made you feel funny things…

Ha ha Alley Cat!
I love the mini games with the spider on the ceiling and drinking from the dog bowls. -

Alleycat works on newer processors by the way it was coded (was a very rare and smart game).
It checks the clock speed of the pc and then divides it to get the speed it needs to run. Not sure on the maths for it but remember finding out the how the programming worked back when we used to play it back in high school in ’89 when we upgraded from XT’s to 286’s.
Pity about all the other games we played, they became unplayable cause of the processor speed. -

Classic DOS game! I recognised the screenshot instanlt but couldn’t remember the game. There’s nothing better than playing some of these old games for a bit of nostalgia 🙂
