Banjo And Kazooie Join Sonic And Ryo In Sega All-Stars Racing

That rumour that Rare mascots Banjo and Kazooie would join the cast of Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing? Totally true! Well, if you believe Sega.com, which is the source of the miniature, guest star–revealing box art.

TSSZ News spotted the pre-announcement reveal of the Xbox 360 version of the box art, which seems to confirm the inclusion of Banjo and Kazooie by putting the Rare pair on the cover. The Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing with Banjo-Kazooie title is another hint that seems to confirm that at least one version will feature a bear and bird battling it out against Sonic the Hedgehog and Ryo the forklift driver on race tracks under blue skies.

While it appears that the Xbox 360 version is getting a guest appearance, none of the other platforms show cameos on their respective box arts.

It would be a nice surprise if this game turned out to be halfway decent. Most modern games with 'Sonic' in the title, have of late been of the rather stinky variety.

None a chance in hell it can be a better game than diddy kong racing was for nintendo SIXTY-FOURRRRRR

i reckon it will be the crash team racing of this gen

I like it how it says with Banjo Kazooie in the title.

I certainly don't. If I were going to buy this game, I'd be interested in it for the SEGA characters, not a character (or characters, if you want to count Banjo and Kazooie as separate) that has nothing to do with Sega at all.

Seeing the Banjo-Kazooie name on the box has actually turned me off the game nearly entirely. Not that I have a problem with Banjo-Kazooie (I personally enjoyed the games), but because there's no reason whatsoever to include them in a game that's supposed to be focusing on Sega nostalgia. Mario in the Wii version of the game would make sense (the rivalry between Nintendo and Sega during the 90s lends a bit of credibility to proceedings, as does Sonic's appearance on Nintendo consoles for quite a while), but Banjo-Kazooie is just blatantly tacked on.
