Burglary Delayed By Mystery Game

An Illinois woman came home Monday afternoon to discover a burglar playing a game on her DS, the Herald News reports.

The 22-year-old woman told Joliet police that she was away from her house for about 30 minutes. When she returned and opened the door to her apartment a man ran out.

"The victim's Nintendo DS was on, and it appears the suspect had been playing it," Deputy Chief Mike Trafton told the News.

The woman's bedroom was ransacked and a pink iPod Touch was missing. The DS, however, was left behind.

What sort of game could have been so interesting that a burglar stopped in mid loot to play it, but then decided that not only was the game not worth stealing, but neither was the DS?

Uh...Brain Training? Cause this guy obviously needs to get smarter in order to pull off more robberies without getting sidetracked by DS games.

Imagine are the kings of making those girly games, like party planner or fashion designer (I think that’s what its called), infact that screenshot is the first imagine game I’ve seen that didn’t utilize the entire pink colour palette in its cover art. The only thing I can think of is that he turned it on to see what game was inside and was turned off by “Ultra pink girl-fest 2008”, either that or he’s a PSP fanboy.

Hahaha, I'm laughing my head off at the thought of some guy sitting on my couch and I'm just getting in, and then he runs off and pushes past me, meanwhile I'm like "wtf". Seriously though, I agree Ben that guy needs a few more cells in the brain department.

    Reminds me of the Joker.

"This city deserves a better class of criminal, and I'm going to give it to them."

I hope not, between this guy and the guy who stole the Xbox and played on the kid's account, I'm laughing my head off.

These crimes are what happens when Cops meets 4Chan.

In fact, I can already hear them asking: "I can haz my fonecall?"

    And VideoGaming stops another crime!

Wow, either burglars nowadays are morons, or videogames are really addictive...
