Square Enix Launches Virtual Money You Can Really Buy

Square Enix is the latest company to launch its own virtual monetary denomination, the Square Enix Crysta.

One Crysta is equivalent to one Japanese yen, and with the yen stronger than the US dollar, that means the Square Enix Crysta is more valuable than Uncle Sam's greenbacks.

The Crysta can be purchased in six amounts: 500 yen, 1000 yen, 2000 yen, 3000 yen, 5000 yen and 10,000 yen. It can be used in online community games, Square Enix's MMO Fantasy Earth Zero and the Square Enix e-Store. Currently, the Crysta is available in Japan only.
