Assassin's Creed II's "Battle Of Forli" Taken Out Next Week

Ubisoft has put a price and firm date on Kotaku Game of the Year contender Assassin's Creed II's first batch of downloadable content. The "Battle of Forli" DLC will arrive January 28.

It can be yours for 320 Microsoft Points on the Xbox 360 or $US3.99 for the PlayStation 3, depending on which version of Assassin's Creed II you prefer. Ubisoft previously detailed - and loosely dated - both of the planned downloadable add-ons for Assassin's Creed II. If you'd like ever more details, read this post.

And if you'd prefer to hear about the "Battle of Forli" and "Bonfire of the Vanities" straight from Assassin's Creed II producer Patrice Desilet's mouth, you can have it that way too.

320 MS points is great. Just hope its not 320 points worth of gameplay and its roughly 800 MS points and Ubisoft love their fans and are giving it to them for 320.

Any details on the length of this one? i know the other DLC is $1 more expensive. One of those links suggests that each DLC is roughly 1GB, which for 320 is quite large considering COD Map Packs are around 400 MB.

Can't wait - just so many new things! And with Mass Effect 2 and DLC coming day one, i'm spoilt for choice.

Well Jay, Ubisoft love their money - Not releasing a demo prior to the game's release indicates this!

So i wouldn't hold your breath waiting for an 800 point-worth game for an afforable 320 points.

So then every publisher is guilty of loving money then?

XBL although receives a 'healthy' amount of demos, there are often weeks where they don't receive any at all. Sometimes even 2 or 3 weeks apart.

AC2 i never even expected to receive a demo. And why would it? It's got nothing to do with money. It's not like they're afraid the demo will scare people off - cause it is a fabulous game.

Demo's are a marketing tool. Something Ubisoft didn't need the hassle for creating to promote a game thats already sold something like 6 million copies.

I HATE Ubisoft fullstop. They just dissapointed me too many times. With their Far Cry 2 and Assassins Creed 1. And there f***** sh** product support and after release patches. Not to mention that they dont like giving out SDKs.
