Fist Of The North Star Dated Dated, Already Dead (And Dated)

In early December Tecmo Koei announced that its Fist of the North Star game, Hokuto Musou, would be released in Japan on the PS3 and Xbox 360 in simply "March 2010".

Today the company announced the exact date. That's annoying!

Post-apocalyptic martial arts manga Fist of the North Star (Hokuto no Ken), which debuted in 1983, will be joining Koei's successful "Musou" series of games, allowing players to punch people into explosions of blood.

According to official word, gamers will "unleash a myriad of devastating fighting techniques and finishing moves powerful enough to bring down whole buildings," cause enemies to "violently explode on screen" and trigger "the instantaneous breakdown of internal organs."

A Hokuto Musou "TREASURE BOX" will be released on March 25, priced at ¥13,440 (US$146) and containing special goods that Tecmo Koei hasn't quite yet made public.

Stay tuned for Tecmo Koei's announcement next month when the company will detail the exact time the game will be released.

This will only be good if Koei really mix it up with a lot of moves and combos, also make everything upgradable. The Musou games are good but the formula is just too similar year to year (and fair enough they can’t really change the romance of three kingdoms story) but with this game they have no excuses. Go over the top with the outrageous Manga fighting.

Lol dunno about that, all we care about is the AAATATATATATATA

According to Amazon JP, the treasure box extras include a character voice clock, the original soundtrack, and a visual story book.
