When a game is as oft-delayed as Ubisoft's I Am Alive, it raises questions. Has it been cancelled? Are there production issues? Does it need a better title? All of those are valid, but only one is the actual reason.
And it's number two! Step on down number two and, speaking through Ubisoft boss Yves Guillemot, tell us why it is exactly we've head almost nothing from you since being first announced.
Turns out Ubisoft "has been totally re-engineering the product", Guillemot revealed last week. Which means most previous work was scrapped when the game moved engines, from... whatever had been powering it to the same engine under the good of the upcoming Splinter Cell: Conviction.
Onwards and upwards, then, for the game with the new engine and the promise that, yes, it's still actually being worked on.
