Alpha Protocol Slips Into Stores On June 1

Role-playing action title Alpha Protocol goes on sale for the PC, Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 June 1, Sega announced this morning.

Obsidian Entertainment's modern-day role-playing game has players taking on the role of spy Michael Thorton as he tried to uncover who was behind the missile attack on a passenger plane.

Gamers that pre-order Alpha Protocol through GameStop will receive the Exclusive Assault Pack, containing exclusive weapons and ammo like the UC Regulator high damage shotgun and Rittergroupen Grizzly high accuracy rifle.

I'll be interested to see how this game compares to Mass Effect 2's blending of action, shooter and RPG.

box art alone has me sold! Yeah, I know, I'm lame :P

You make a good point Clem, the box art has certainly improved.

I've been interested in this for a while... this article was selling me, until the last image. Did they accidently upload a screenshot from some gave on the PS2 or something.

    Those graphics look horrific.

But then scrolling back up, i noticed all the screenshots suffer from not the greatest graphics. They're not BAD (well the last is) but they're nothing spectacular for a game released this late on current-gen consoles. Very original Xbox I believe.

I believe this will be more like Uncharted 2 than Mass Effect 2 - they said you can past this game without shooting a gun. Stealth/action/RPG

      tactical espionage action.
