Finally, A New Look At L.A. Noire

We've been reliant on 2006's teaser for L.A. Noire for all of our visual reference, sick to death of using the same screengrabs from Team Bondi's target render. No longer, as we're finally getting an updated look at the game.

The upcoming issue of Game Informer magazine features the above L.A. Noire cover, promising an updated look - that "long-awaited reveal" we were promised - at Rockstar Games' "gritty detective tale".

The mag's teaser promises a look at the "astonishing reconstruction of 1947 Los Angeles" and "L.A. Noire's groundbreaking facial-animation system", which sounds unfortunately like "no gameplay information". Here's to hoping that's wrong and that the March issue has plenty of details in its 10-page spread on the game.

March Cover Revealed [Game Informer]

I find it hard to believe there will be no gameplay details in a 10-page spread...

I am extremely excited about this game.

This games been in development longer than duke nukem forever...

Half as long, actually, but too long nonetheless.

It'll be interesting to see how it's actually come together after all this time, particularly following all the rumours that went around both the media and the industry.

i find it quite easy to believe there will no gameplay details in a 10-page spread of Gameinformer. I am quite happy with the Halo: Reach issue, but they are quite screen-heavy to fill their pages. Not that this is necassarily a bad thing.

I hope Gameinformer stys at the the crazy price of $5 that EB is currently charging and that isn't just a get-it-off-the-ground price. It's a good, trashy read for $5 which i would like to keep buying, but I wouldnt spend more than that on it.

I'm pretty sure anybody who might have once been interested in this game has long since died of old age.
