Forza Developer Working On "Next Big Thing"

Turn 10 Studios released racing simulator Forza Motorsport 3 last fall. The company went on to do what most other developers do:

Start develop on a new game.

But is it another Forza title? Turn 10 has churned out three Forza titles since 2005. "[A]core part of the team is off working on our next big thing," Forza 3 game director Dan Greenawalt told game site VG247. But Greenawalt added that the studio had "nothing to announce at this time."

Any hints though?

"How do we go from being a ‘Racing Game' to being a ‘Car Game' to being a way of life? These are just some of the tenants we've taken to heart for our next project."

Hrm... Forza 4? Kidding! Well, sorta.

Forza 4, where instead of racing, you drive along regular roads and have to stay in the speed limit.

I don't think it will be Forza 4. There was a 2 year wait between each of the three games so I don't expect the fourth one to come out until the end of 2011.

I'm guessing it will be something to do with project natal. Possibly a software update to make it compatible with Forza 3.

Whatever it is I'm ready for it. I hit driver level 50 last night and finished season 5, just finishing off the last season and getting the last couple of achievements and I should be done by the weekend.

    like the GT series?

      But better.

I mean, they do seem to stick with their planned release dates!
All 3 Forza games have been universally critically acclaimed and they can do all that with so much content (fair enough, GT5 does have double Forza 3's - but IS it worth it, probably not. Especially with DLC) and they have done it all within a decent timeframe.

Forza 2 to 3 was only 2 years. Yet GT5 is taking, HOW LONG, and yet the graphics, compared to Forza 3, although technically greater, not the biggest difference. Just annoying in the end...

      Forza FTW!

Of course they're working on their next game, because patches for Forza 3 have been very few and with very minor fixes.

Forza is an awesome game, probably my favourite, been playing each one since the original on the original xbox; however, it is annoying when Turn 10 talk like they have mastered the racing genre and it's time for them to move onto the next big thing. There are still helps of improvements to make Forza the ultimate racing game. Off the top of my head, they include:
    1) Qualifying - any racing game worth its salt has qualifying
    2) Actual racing rules, yellow flags, black flags etc
    3) Ability to import decals and paint design from a PC - why spend hours and hours creating decals for your car in the game using the xbox controller when it should be able to be done a lot easier using a computer and proper image editing software
    4) More real life tracks. It's meant to be the closet thing to a simulator to on an xbox, but it's littered with imaginary tracks. What's worse is they took away all the best imaginary tracks like Alpine Ring from Forza 1. If they are going to have imaginary tracks, at least make them realistic - decreasing radius corners and instantaneous vertical changes in grade are not realistic.
