New BioShock 2 Trailer Debuts Tonight On NBC

BioShock fans will want to tune into NBC's Late Night with Jimmy Fallon this evening, as 2K will be debuting a new 3 minute, 15 second trailer during tonight's broadcast.

The bad news is you're going to have to stay up late, though if you're anything like me, 11:30PM falls well before bedtime. The good news is you only have to stay tuned until the first commercial break, when a new long-form trailer for BioShock 2 emerges from the icy depths. What can we expect?

"Debuting during the first commercial block of NBC's Late Night with Jimmy Fallon exclusively in North America, the launch trailer is a realisation of the elements that BioShock 2 fans have been clamoring for. Breathtaking action set against the backdrop of a decaying underwater Utopia provides players with the slice of Rapture that awaits them next week, all presented in a style that is distinctively representative of the BioShock universe."

So big metal guys, creepy little girls, and a whole lot of water and brass. I can't wait!

Kotaku AU Note: We'll post the full trailer here as soon as possible. (Also, how bad is that quote up there from 2K?)

Over 3 minute trailer eh. Pass, I want to go into the game fresh. When I see awesome set pieces I can be surprised rather than muttering "Oh that part that was in the trailer's coming up here, better get ready to act surprised".

That's just me though - sensitive to spoilers. Unless its CGI, then I'm watching it.

AGREED! I've stopped watching trailers lately based on that reason. Everything is spoiled.

Yeah, I learned the hard way through Uncharted 2. I pretty much knew every major action set piece before I had even played it. Still, was awesome experiencing it in HD.

Their quote says we want breathtaking action, ignoring that we ACTUALLY want a great story. I haven't pre-ordered even though I loved the first game, because there's just no indication from anyone yet whether the story is in place or not.

I don't even know what the sequel's story is about. Something to do with an original big daddy? Either way, early reviews say its on par with the original's quality (I'm skeptical though). I really hope they put effort into the plot rather than assumed we're all into pure shooting games. Probably just marketing though like dragon ages cringing advertisement campaign.
