AU Diary: Playing Catch-Up

As you know, I’ve been on leave for a few weeks. And even before that, I hadn’t been spending a great deal of time in the office. This means I’ve got a lot of catching up to do.

I just wanted to take a moment to assure anyone still awaiting: a) the announcement of the winners of some recent competitions that they’re coming in the next day or two, and b) the delivery of their older competition prizes that they too will be coming shortly. For the most part I’m a one-man team here at Kotaku. So when I’m not here, there’s no one around to ensure these things get done.

There’s also plenty of catch-up required on all the games that have released recently. I came into the office this morning to find boxed copies of Metro 2033, Resonance of Fate, Yakuza 3, the Sonic Classic Collection, Sega & Sonic All-Stars Racing, Dragon Age: Origins: Awakening, God of War III and Command & Conquer 4 sitting on my desk (and listed in order of how interested I am to check them out). Plus, preview code of ModNation Racers and Dead to Rights: Retribution. Plus, word that Splinter Cell: Conviction review code was on its way and an offer to get some hands-on with Alan Wake and interview with Remedy. Oh, and my E3 media registration was approved. That’s plenty to keep me busy, I would say.

Finally, I’d like to thank Seamus and Jung for filling in for me on the post-writing side of things while I’ve been away these past couple of months. Hopefully, at some point in the near future, you’ll be seeing more of their posts alongside my own. That’s the plan, anyway.

It’s good to be back.
