Majin: The Fallen Realm vs The Last Guardian

The newest trailer for Majin & The Fallen Kingdom, the charming co-op adventure from the folks who made Genji and Folklore, might be the boost you need to start caring about this game.

Sure, it may have a terrible name, whether you want to call it Majin & The Fallen Kingdom, as it's known in North America, or Majin: The Fallen Realm, as it's known elsewhere, but it at least looks like a decent holdover until Team ICO can get The Last Guardian done and pressed to Blu-ray discs. Oh, and sure, it may also feel a little too much like The Last Guardian, but who doesn't love action puzzle solving with beasts of all shape and size?

Maybe you don't. Maybe you should tell us why or why not Namco Bandai's PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 game doesn't do it for you.

The creature reminds me of Ludo from Labyrinth.

Looks fun, but apart from the coop monster platforming I don't see any resemblance to Team ICOs games. It looks primarily hack and slash - with elemental attacks - with puzzles as an afterthought. I mean, the only puzzles they show are some very basic jumping, using the monster as a platform and some doors that close and open.

Looks like a very different, but decent, game.

Looks interesting, I'll keep my eyes on this one.
