The Sims 3 Gets Ambitious New Expansion

Sure, your Sim has a lovely home, nice friends, and all the material wealth he or she could ever have, but what about ambitions? Take control of your career this June with The Sims 3 Ambitions expansion pack.

The second step in EA's plan to flood the market with Sims expansions, as it did with The Sims and The Sims 2, Ambitions gives your Sims a career that's more than just entering a building you can't see inside and waiting until they come out at the end of the day. From ghost hunter to mad scientist, doctor to firefighter, Ambitions makes a game out of work. Become an architect and change the look of your town, invent dangerous gadgets as an inventor, or become an investigator, solving dozens of cases as you realise your quiet little town isn't as quiet as you thought it was.

It sounds like a ton of content, with the potential for new downloadable careers in the future. Perhaps ambitious is a better name for this expansion?

"The variety of careers to choose from is unmatched and we've never given players the opportunity to follow their Sims to work and affect their actions on the job," said Scott Evans, General Manager of The Sims Studio at EA. "The Sims 3 Ambitions changes that. Players' actions at work now directly affect their lives, community and neighbours and become an extremely important part of how the game is played."

I'm still reeling from my own Sim creation experience, in which my fake person, with no prompting from me, decided he wanted to become a journalist who enjoyed playing video games. Hopefully I'll recover by June, in time for The Sims 3: Ambitions to hit the PC. If not, there's always iPhone version, due out later this year.

Lol when will the sims ever end

I have to admit, I HATED the sims 1 and 2, but EA have hit upon something with The Sims 3, they've SOMEHOW created a Sims game, that's oddly... FUN to play??? It's probably the dumbing down of it, most likely, but now, with less micro management etc, the games actually fun to play?

I know the feeling. I got tired of Sims 2 really quickly because my Sims kept going insane because I didn't want to fill the house with babies, ect. 3 is much more enjoyable.
