Like Pokémon, Only For Science!

Think Pokémon is just for play? It's not! When appropriated for the needs of science, it can also be a tool for learning.

Phylomon is the creation of David Ng, a biologist at the University of British Columbia, who is hoping the "collect them all" appeal of his custom card game can make learning about biodiversity as much fun as... collecting them all.

The game isn't finished, so if you'd like to help, the project is in need of both artists and testers, so hit the link below to find out more.

Though usually it matters little what is on the collector cards for them to gain popularity, I don't think this will work. The moment anyone says 'educational' or someone realises that's the intention, the kids will stay away.

    Dude! Geology edition, do want.

    Where are the attacks?

That's pretty cool. The custom artwork for each card is done quite tastefully.
