NSFW: Is This The Most Violent Recruitment Site In Japan?

There are a lot of companies in The Land of the Rising Sun. The majority of them have boring recruitment pages. Not this company.

Shinji Mikami, the creator of survival horror series Resident Evil, has started a new game development studio called Tango. Mikami, who was previously based in Osaka, is setting up shop in Tokyo and looking for developers to flesh out his company.

What better way to do that than with a harakiri mini-game! The flash game has players see how far they can slice off Shinji Mikami's head.

Hey, look! It's No More Heroes developer Goichi Suda saying "Hana yori Tango!", a pun on Hana Yori Dango, the landmark girl's manga from Yoko Kamio.

(The site's detailed recruitment page for Tango is pretty dull, though!)

With Tango obviously has yet to develop any titles (and is currently a few years off before it can show anything), Mikami hopes the studio will grow to be a 100 staffers strong in five or seven years.

Mikami is currently designing sci-fi game Vanquish for Osaka-based developer Platinum Games.
